1)    Who is it open to for applying to this scholarship?
Graduating high school seniors in the following Wisconsin counties:
Adams, Brown, Calumet, Clark, Columbia, Dodge, Door, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Juneau, Kewaunee, Langlade, Lincoln, Manitowoc, Marathon, Marinette, Marquette, Menominee, Oconto, Outagamie, Ozaukee, Portage, Richland, Sauk, Shawano, Sheboygan, Taylor, Washington, Waupaca, Waushara, Winnebago, Wood

2)    If I’m not pursuing a career directly relating to agriculture, could I still qualify?
Possibly, your career choice needs to be one that enhances rural communities.  Examples would be education, business administration, nursing and computer science.

3)    How do I apply?
•    See your Guidance Counselor or Ag Department
٭    Print the application & forms from the website
٭    Call 920-339-9823 to request the application & forms

4)    What do I need to include with my application?
•    Completed application with signatures
٭    Student Aid Report (SAR) from FAFSA
٭    Two (2) additional recommendation forms in addition to the guidance counselor or principal’s recommendation on the application form
٭    Grade transcripts

5)    What is the FAFSA?
Free Application for Federal Student Aid
-A process which needs to be completed to receive your SAR (Student Aid Report).  This report then gives you an EFC (Expected Family Contribution) which the selection committee takes into consideration when looking at your application.

*    All forms are filled out completely and returned with the SAR on time

8)    What is the scholarship value?
up to $1750 for the first year paid in two (2) equal installments

b)  Is the scholarship renewable and what would the renewing
requirements be?

Yes, you can renew for up to three (3) subsequent years.
To be considered for renewal you must:
٭    Complete and return the renewal application
٭    Send a copy of your most recent official transcript
٭    Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA
٭    Maintain your qualified major or switch to another qualified major

Renewing values are up to:
٭    Second year-$2000
٭    Third year-$2250
٭    Fourth year-$2500
٭    (These are also paid in two (2) equal installments)

٭    All amounts are reviewed annually and adjusted by the finance committee

9)    Would I still qualify if I plan on attending a technical school or two year program and transferring to a four year school/program later?
Yes, but the scholarship may only be renewed for up to three (3) years

10)    Could I apply if I am currently in college and decide to pursue an agricultural career?
Not at this time, but that option is being considered
